My Story
I’m a UX designer driven by a deep passion for human connection and creating meaningful experiences. With a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Michigan State University and a Master of Science in User Experience Design from Kent State University, I bring a unique understanding of people, research, and design strategy to every project.
Currently, I support marketing and customer experience efforts at Campbell's Market Basket, a family-owned business in East Lansing, Michigan. My role spans website redesign, content creation (digital and print), marketing campaign development, and social media management—allowing me to blend UX principles with real-world marketing impact. I also volunteer with Astronomy on Tap-Lansing creating their digital content and managing their social media.
My path to UX was shaped by my deep involvement in the hockey community—a place that brought me a sense of belonging, but also opened my eyes to the cultural and structural barriers that make participation difficult for many. Hockey is a sport with a culture that can be wonderfully tight-knit, but also often intimidating to outsiders. Listening to the experiences of other current and potential fans opened my eyes to how challenging it can be for underrepresented groups to feel welcome in the sport and become life-long fans.
Being part of this community gave me firsthand insight into how design, whether of physical spaces, digital platforms, or even cultural norms, influences who feels included. That awareness sparked my passion for inclusive, user-centered design. It taught me that accessibility isn’t just about function—it’s about fostering a sense of belonging. Today, those lessons continue to guide my mission as a designer: to create experiences that are not only intuitive and effective, but also equitable and deeply human.
